Want to use games in the classroom? About.com linguistics expert calls the You’ve been Sentenced! word game a “fun way to explore language: sentence construction, grammar, and meaning”

February 27, 2012

As a writer and expert on gifted children for About.com, Carol Bainbridge certainly knows her stuff. Carol has a B.A. degree in psychology and is currently completing a doctoral degree in linguistics, with a focus on verbally gifted children. Plus, this linguist even has a verbally gifted kid of her own!

So, when she reviewed the You’ve been Sentenced! word game with an eye toward its use with verbally gifted children, we were thrilled! Here’s a little of what Carol had to say about the game:

“You don’t have to be a linguist or have a verbally gifted child to love this game … This award-winning game is challenging, fun, and educational.”
