Fun Games That Teach Kids How to Write

May 23, 2011

eHow contributor Bridgette Redman recently wrote this informative piece and explains, “Learning doesn’t have to be arduous, nor does it have to be limited to the four walls of the school classroom. Help your child gain writing skills by playing family games that make learning fun and build good memories of times spent together. Several off-the-shelf games can be fun to play while teaching your children how to write. You may even find your own skills getting sharper, as well.”

Included in her line up of great games was the You’ve been Sentenced! word game. Bridgette says, “This game gives children practice at forming strong sentences while teaching them how to use different forms of the same root word.”

What other games does Bridgette recommend? Apples to Apples, Once Upon a Time and perennial favorite MadLibs were all included (some of our faves, too!). To read this article in its entirety, please visit eHow.
